The Penguins' Ville Koivunen, Sidney Crosby and Bryan Rust celebrate with Erik Karlsson after Karlsson scored his 200th NHL goal against the Black Hawks in the second period April 8, 2025 at PPG Paints Arena.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will play nearly a fifth of their games on national television for the upcoming season, the NHL and its network rightsholders, ESPN and Turner Sports, announced Wednesday.
Starting with their season opener Oct. 7 at the New York Rangers, the Penguins will take part in 16 nationally broadcasted games -- five on ESPN, four on ABC, one on ESPN+/Hulu and six on TNT.
SportsNet Pittsburgh enters its third season as the local broadcast partner for the Penguins. Josh Getzoff returns as the play-by-play voice, with a rotation of analysts Colby Armstrong and Phil Bourque. Hailey Hunter and Dan Potash are back as rinkside reporters.
Fans can also hear Penguins games on 105.9 The X and the Penguins Radio Network. Joe Brand will handle play-by-play duties with Bourque providing color commentary.
